A visit to Singapore will not be complete without a tour of Sentosa Island.

A true quality tourism product, Sentosa is the best outdoor-based attraction and playground for people of all ages in Singapore. Sentosa is famous for a variety of attractions such as Asian Village, Fantasy Island, Fort Siloso, Underwater World and Musical Fountain. Sentosa's three beaches, namely Siloso, Central and Tanjong Beaches, are also attractions in their own right, boasting their own unique charm and appeal. A true testament to its versatility, Sentosa also plays hosts to open-air events from gala dinners and concerts to volleyball competitions.

Sentosa Island is located only 10 minutes from Singapore by bus or shuttle and is often described as a huge tropical theme park. Connected by a causeway, it offers everything from enchanted groves, dragon trails, a Fantasy Island water complex, an oceanarium, and a butterfly park making it a perfect destination for families. For the sunlovers, Sentosa has three unspoilt white beaches which offer a variety of water sports.

Climate

Singapore's climate is warm and humid, with only slight variations between the average maximum of 31 degrees Celcius and minimum of 23 degrees Celcius. This makes it ideal for those who enjoy sunbathing, swimming, sailing and other water sports. But for those who do not enjoy the tropical climate, Singapore is sheltered from the worst effects of the sun with air-conditioning in almost all of its shops, hotels, office buildings and restaurants.

Rain falls throughout the year, with more consistent rain coming during the monsoon season from November to January. Showers are usually sudden and heavy, but also brief and refreshing.
